History of Schools

On Tuesday 17th November 1987 the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do started their first lesson in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. This was to be the start of a very long and successful story of a group of Tae Kwon-Do schools in East Anglia.Starting with only a hand full of members the Group now has 16 schools across East Anglia covering 4 counties, we have approximately 800 students training with us each week. In 1989 we joined the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain (T.A.G.B.) which is the largest Tae Kwon-Do organisation in this country with the highest standards. In 1995 Senior Instructor Mark Farnham was awarded Instructor of the Year, his name placed into the Associations "Hall of Fame" and in 1998 he repeated this performance winning it again and also achieving Tournament Official of the Year 1998 on the same day. We have also gained many high level competition awards over the years and now have many up and coming national fighters train with us such as 13 Times World Champion - Warren Vice, James Spencer, Alan Jackson, Charlotte Simpson and Harriet Bowen to name but a few. At the 2000 World Championships the 6 man English team contained 2 members of our Kings Lynn School.
