3 Step Sparring

 

 

At the Beginning

Face your partner Bow Take your Distance 
Place your right foot alongside your partners feet (In a Walking Stance)

 

When signalled Attacker steps forward in walking stance with a middle section obverse punch 3 times.

 

No 1

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, left walking stance inner forearm block with left forearm to inside of punch Left leg back, Right walking stance inner forearm block with Right forearm to inside of punch.
Right leg back, left walking stance inner forearm block with left forearm to inside of punch.  Reverse punch.

 

No 2

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Left leg back, left 'L' stance inner forearm block with right arm to outside of punch. Right leg back, Right'L' stance inner forearm block with Left arm to outside of punch
Left leg back, left 'L' stance inner forearm block with right arm to outside of punch. Move left leg then right leg into left 'L' stance towards partners right hand side. Knife hand strike to partners neck or kidneys.

 

No 3

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Left leg back, left 'L' stance inward block with right outer forearm to inside of punch Right leg back, Right 'L' stance inward block with Left outer forearm to inside of punch.
Left leg back, left 'L' stance inward block with right outer forearm to inside of punch. Back fist attack with right hand to face.

 

No 4

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Left leg back, left 'L'stance inner forearm block with right arm to outside of punch. Right leg back, Right'L'stance inner forearm block with Left arm to outside of punch.
Left leg back, left 'L'stance inner forearm block with right arm to outside of punch. Move around to partners right side into sitting stance measure punch with left fist then double punch.

 

No 5

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, right 'L' stance outer forearm block with left arm to inside of punch. Left leg back, Left 'L' stance outer forearm block with Right arm to inside of punch
Move right pivoting on left foot into sitting stance simultaneously block and punch.

 

No 6

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, Right 'L' stance Knifehand block with left Knifehand to inside of punch. Left leg back, Left'L' stance Knifehand block with Right Knifehand to inside of punch
Pivot as 5, block and inward knife hand high strike to neck with right knife hand.

 

No 7

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, right 'L' stance outer forearm block with left arm to inside of punch. Left leg back, Left 'L' stance outer forearm block with Right arm to inside of punch.
Slide back into right 'L' stance middle forearm guarding block. Front snap kick with back leg to mid section. Place foot down into right walking stance double punch.

 

No 8

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, right 'L' stance Knifehand block. Left leg back, Left 'L' stance Knifehand block.
Slide back into right 'L' stance middle forearm guarding block. Side kick with back leg to mid section. Place foot down into left 'L' stance back fist with right hand to temple.

 

No 9

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, right 'L' stance pushing block with left palm heel to outside of punch. Left leg back, Left 'L' stance pushing block with Right palm heel to outside of punch.
Right leg back, right 'L' stance pushing block with left palm heel to outside of punch. Move left leg across towards partners right hand side. Executing a turning kick to the mid section with the right leg.
Place the foot down into a left 'L' stance then knife hand strike with the right hand to partners neck or kidneys.

 

No 10

Start Position
Attacker- Right leg back in walking stance.
Defender - Parrallel ready Stance

Right leg back, right 'L' stance Knifehand block. Left leg back, Left 'L' stance Knifehand block.
Slide back into right 'L' stance middle forearm guarding block. Execute a right leg reverse side kick. Place the foot down a right walking stance executing a mid reverse knifehand inward strike with the left hand.
Slip front leg into a left 'L' stance forearm guarding block.
