Pre Black Belt Training Sessions

If you are a Red Belt or above, to be able to grade for your next Grade you must:
1. Attend one Red / Black Belt Training Session every 6 months(at Kings Lynn).
2. If you are now approaching your Black Belt grading date i.e. within 2 months you need to attend at least 3 out of the following sessions, one of these must be at Kings Lynn. (All previous Black Belts Sessions attended do NOT count towards these 3 sessions).

PLEASE NOTE:
A student needs to attend 3 classes a week in the 6 months leading up to their next Dan grading to be able to grade in the normal time guide line.
However, If the student cannot attend 3 classes a week they must train a minimum of 2 times a week in the 6 months prior to their grading, and then continue to train for another 6 months at 2 times per week in addition to their normal time guide line, this applies only to students whose home School offers only one class a week, and is at Instructors discretion.

Going for 1st Dan Black Belt.

The student also needs to have entered at least 2 competitions since they started training (taking part in both Sparring and Patterns at each), one can be an area championship the other needs to be a national championship ie. British, English, Welsh etc.
As always these attendances are a guide and if the Instructor decides that the candidate requires more training then that decision will over rule the minimum requirements as listed above - failure to achieve this will result in an unsuccessful Black Belt Grading application.

Black Belt Pre-Grading Sessions 2026

The Kings Lynn Sessions are Mandatory for all our Red and Black Belts.
(If you miss a Session you will then need to train an additional 6 months extra to be able to grade)

If you are grading this time you will also need to attend at least 2 Syston Sessions to fulfil your 3 required sessions to grade.
